How can Art be used to promote human rights

Introduction.

The symposium on the state of human rights in East Africa is the first of its kind focused on showing the relevance of Art to promote human rights in east Africa and beyond. The symposium is projected to bring together human rights activists, victims and enforcement bodies in the region.

It will look at how human rights are violated and how cases concerning human rights are handled at the local (village), police and judiciary levels.
